on line at the Graduate
School web site. At this site you can:
- Apply on line
- Print and mail the form
- Request a paper application form through the mail.
We recommend on line application. If you have problems with the web site, you can contact the Graduate School by phone at 859-257-4613.
- You will need two official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work. Send one copy to the Graduate School, and one copy to the Director of Graduate Studies at the School of Music (see address below).

- Presentations / Recitals / Publications / Clinics (include locations and dates)
- Personal Objective Essay (about 150 words). Please express your motivation for seeking this degree from the University of Kentucky and how this degree fits into your goals for the future.
- Three letters of recommendation
- Take Graduate Entrance exam in music.
