UK Music Events
The UK School of Music presents around 200 concerts and recitals each year. This is the place to check on all the latest developments. In addition, the Singletary Center for the Arts presents many performances by internationally renowned artists, and the UK Department of Theatre presents a number of fine plays every semester.

The Friends of the University of Kentucky School of Music invite you to experience an elegant evening filled with music, food, wine, and dance at historic Gainesway Farm on Paris Pike in Lexington. Enjoy the elegant big band sounds of Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, and Count Basie in a unique facility. The black tie dinner and dance will feature an exquisite food and wine pairing and swinging music provided by Miles Osland and the UK Jazz Ensemble. Proceeds from the event will support the UK School of Music.

From Boston to Bombay, Tokyo to Toronto, The U.S. Army Field Band has been thrilling audiences for more than half a century, keeping the will of the American people behind the members of the armed forces and supporting diplomatic efforts around the world. The 29-member Soldiers' Chorus is the vocal complement of the Field Band, including three alums of the UK Opera Theatre: Mario Garcia, Mark Huseth and Charis Strange! Performances often include Broadway, opera, barbershop quartet, and Americana in addition to selections from the choral repertoire.

Steven Glaser is a professor of Piano at the Ohio State University. He will perform works by Franz Schubert, Frederic Chopin, Paul Ben-Haim, and S. Liapunow. Professor Glaser will also present a master class for piano students on October 17 at 10:00 AM in the Recital Hall. Both events are open to the public.
