Friends of the UK School of Music

The Friends of the University of Kentucky School of Music was formed in 1992 by a group of twelve faculty, alumni, and friends at the invitation of Director of the School of Music, W. Harry Clarke. From this small beginning, the membership has grown to a large and vibrant entity dedicated to serving the School of Music.

The purpose of the Friends of Music organization is to support and serve the interests of the School of Music at the University of Kentucky by promoting the highest quality of instruction, music research and performance; and by the constant promotion of music as an art form, both to the campus and community, unencumbered by public taste, unrestricted by market value or institutional limitations.
